i just bought a 1995 gtx with a bad motor im gonna take the motor out of my 1996 gti and be on the waters. any thing i should know before i take the plunge. i am a car mechanic i should be able to do this . any tips

will the motor out of my 1996 gxi fit a 95 xp i found a 1995 model for 300 with a bad motor . or can i take the wiring off the 95 and put on my 96 and do away with the security system?
