I live down south of Houston, and tend to ski mostly in salt water. I launch at Bastrop Bayou, which is a narrow river about 10 minutes from home, fresh-to-brackish water, that leads all the way to the gulf. Lots of wakeboarders on weekends.
I also launch right off the beach in Surfside, when the waves aren't too big.
Family days, we launch under the bridge at Bridge Bait and Tackle, and take turns drinking beers on the dock while someone else is on the jet ski.
I have jet skied Possum Kingdom, up near Fort Worth...By far the nicest place I have ever been. It is a long drive, but I lived in Wichita Falls at the time.
The wife and I have gone to Lake Somerville twice now. One day trip, and one camping over the weekend, and it is very nice. Especially the two camps near the dam.
I plan on trying the San Jacinto river below the dam, Lake Houston (san jac river above the dam), Canyon Lake, near San Antonio, and possibly Lake Buchanan, because I have a friend with a lake house there so I get a discounted rate.
The wife and I will do Clear Lake and cruise around the Kemah Boardwalk, after I get my boat home.

I've heard that Canyon Lake is very rough, not best place for seadoos.

Any lake will be rough under the right circumstances. Got to keep an eye on the wind speed and direction, and if it is a holiday there will be more traffic.
The last trip we took to Somerville we got there Friday morning, no traffic, no wind, there was maybe 3 boats on the lake and they were all fishing back in the coves. I had the entire glassy lake to myself:hurray:

Woke up next morning and a cold front was blowing through, and it was a challenge to get the ski from our camp site around the point to the ramp.
We ended up going home a day early because I didn't think the wind was going to let up that day.

Willow Beach, AZ...south of Hoover Dam....Stoked on that place, BUT..water is COLD, no matter when you go!!!!
The good ones are Eufala lake and tinkiller lake. If you go to Tinkiller you can launch over by snake creek and hang out at party cove or at eufala you can launch from #9 landidn and drive ove rto the cut.

All Things Custom...where is that compared to Mayflower Park in Blythe? I spent the first 7 years of my life there when my parents had their jet boat.
We also did Havasu a couple times. Both were nice places, back in the old days. Not sure how crowded it is now in CA...
